Variations in Definitions of Evidence-based Interventions (EBIs) for Behavioral Health in Eight Selected U.S. States

This study collected mandates for the use of evidence-based interventions (EBIs) from 8 selected U.S. states, in order to ascertain what terms are used by state legislation to describe evidence-based interventions, how those terms are defined, how states vary in the number of mandates for EBIs, and how states vary in the way they define EBIs. The study found that terms were used inconsistently across states, and that the states varied in the way they define terms related to EBIs.<br>
