Microbiome in the rumen and intestine associated with immunity of young and adult goats

Microorganisms play a role in immune capacity of animals. Compared with adults, the low immunity is considered as the mainly reason for young livestock in suffering to the diseases. Whether there is a correlation between the microorganism profiling and immunity response at different development stages remains unclear. In the current study, 12 dairy goats were selected to collect their rumen content, fecal and blood at young and adult stages for the immune factors and microbiota analysis.
