资源简介:
This dataset was derived from a cross-sectional study investigating the effect of different Straight Leg Raise (SLR) sensitizing maneuvers on motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) of the tibial and common peroneal nerves in individuals with sciatica. It was hypothesized that different sensitizers would produce variable effects on nerve conduction, with optimal mechanical loading enhancing neural transmission. Data were collected from 51 participants using nerve conduction studies under three SLR conditions: ankle-based sensitizer, hip adduction with internal rotation, and cervical flexion. The dataset includes MNCV values (Tibial_1, Tibial_2, Tibial_3, Peroneal_1, Peroneal_2, Peroneal_3), along with demographic variables and pain scores (VAS). The findings indicate that cervical flexion produced a significant increase in conduction velocity, whereas other sensitizers showed non-significant or variable responses, suggesting a dose-dependent relationship between mechanical neural loading and conduction characteristics. This dataset can be used to understand neurodynamic influences on nerve physiology and to support further research in electrophysiological assessment and rehabilitation of sciatica.
