Input research data on the Thuringia energy system (ZO.RRO II)

General Information: This dataset contains all the input datasets for the Thuringia energy system used as part of the ZO.RRO II state project. The project was funded by the Thuringian Ministry for the Environment, Energy, Nature Conservation and Forestry. The energy system was created in oemof.solph and can be viewed on GitHub. The energy system is used, for example, to calculate and analyse the economic and environmental impacts. This allows, for instance, the total emissions associated with energy supply to be taken into account. In addition, the optimised total costs of energy supply are also calculated. The data stems from energy system modelling and is identical to the data on the Open Energy Platform. This platform is supported by NFDI4Energy, and the metadata structure used is therefore also standardised (OEMetadata). Before the data could be uploaded to the Open Energy Platform in the form of a scenario bundle, it was reviewed by experts. The data is also published on Zenodo to provide a persistent identifier (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19202243) and increase its visibility.
