Sophora tonkinensis, a medicinal plant native to karst regions, faces growth and quality challenges under drought stress. Microbe-plant interactions significantly influence drought tolerance . Previous studies identified the endophytic strain Burkholderia cepacia B29 (B29) as enhancing drought resistance and bioactive compound synthesis in S. tonkinensis. This study systematically investigates the mechanisms by which B29 and Azospirillum brasilense improve drought resilience in S. tonkinensis through integrated transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses.
