We collected and analyzed soil cores from low, middle, and high tidal flats within a representative tidal-creek system of the Yellow River Delta (YRD). A suite of biogeochemical indicators–including δ13C of organic matter, lignin phenols, and amino sugars–was employed to assess SOC burial processes and source contributions.
