Influence of temperate forest closure on snake demography

The data presented here are from a long-term population survey at the Chizé integral biological reserve (CEBC), in western France.
We used these data to run Multistate mark-recapture models (MSMR), built in E-SURGE (Choquet, Rouan, et al. 2009), to see if there was an influence of habitat, sex or age classes on the demographic parameters of two snake species: Hierophis viridiflavus and Zamenis longissimus.

a) 53INTERVALLES_1995_2021_VECTEUR_HIVER_ETE_1_1.4.txt
This file is used to define in E-SURGE the unequal time intervals. This file applies to both species.
b) EXTERNAL_COVARIATE_LINEAR_TREND.txt
This file was used to see whether there was a linear temporal trend in summer or winter survival according to habitat or age classes. This file applies to both species.
c) ESURGE2023_VJ_1995_2021_UCARE_CLEANING.inp
This file is the INP used to test if the habitat (i.e. forest closure) and the age classes had an influence on several demographic parameters of Hierophis viridiflavus.
d) ESC_ESURGE_2023_UCARE_CLEANING.inp
This file is the INP used to test if the habitat (i.e. forest closure) and the age classes had an influence on several demographic parameters of Zamenis longissimus.
