Machine Learning Based Rapid Self-Assessment and Understanding of COVID-19 Disease Progression to Support Public Policy Decisions

Covid-19 is an unprecedented global pandemic. Policymaking in this highly uncertain, complex, and rapidly changing environment has been extremely challenging which led to multiple waves of the pandemic. In this study machine and especially deep learning-based models have been developed which facilitates the analysis of big online social media data and could measure the effects of Covid-19 on the mental health of the citizens. Policymakers could benefit by using the models and identifying the people's needs and taking action accordingly to avoid severe socio-economic damage.
