Number of beer, wine and liquor stores in Canada by region 2023

As of December 2023, there were 1,394 beer, wine and liquor stores in the Canadian province of Ontario. With 1,318 liquor stores, the province of Alberta ranked second that year. There was just three of these types of stores to be found in Nunavut. Canadian wineries by regionCanada has a considerable number of active wineries: in British Columbia alone, there were over 240 establishments to be found in 2023. This province was also home to seven of the top ten wineries at the 2022 WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada. Ontario had the second-highest number of wineries, just under 200.
