Risk of hydrocarbon discharges in the eennpp of the western coast of Huelva.

Work carried out by the Environment and Water Agency in 2021 at the request of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development. The main objective is the identification of the risk in relation to hydrocarbon discharges in the different areas of the territorial scope of the self-protection plan of the protected natural areas of the western coast of Huelva, to support decision-making in case of emergency. This work is included in the work of revision of this plan. Spatialized information is included referring to the variables that categorize ecosystems in terms of their intrinsic value, the degree of impact caused, the susceptibility of the exposed elements and the probability of scope. The result of the risk analysis is also included as a result of the probability of an incident that generates a polluting discharge, due to the impact it produces, depending on the conditions of the marine environment that acts as a carrier of the pollutant. On the other hand, information is provided on the location of the feeding, resting and reproduction areas of the main species of seabirds present in the area as well as a document of descriptive sheets of these species.
