资源简介:

This is the ReadMe file corresponding to the dataset of the study entitled:"Influence of fluid composition on fracture toughness and frictional strength weakening: Sandstone brittle and ductile strength constraints"By Noël C., Baud P., Lazari F., Shahin G. & Violay M. This Read-Me file was last edited in February 2026 This readme file describes the data repository and supplementary files accompanying the above publication, submitted to IJRMMS. For any further queries, please contact corentin.noel@epfl.ch For each type of experiment (fracture toughness or friction), a zip file contains the files of the experiments. Each file name contains the information of the sample tested and the experimental condition (dry or saturated):- The first letters and number stands for the sample tested (e.g., AS1)- After a "_", the experimental conditions are described: dry = dry experiments, water = water saturated experiments, NaCl = saturated with the saline solution, HCl = saturated with the acid solution, NaOH = saturated with the basic solution, HCl_dry = saturated with the acid solution then dried, NaOH_dry = saturated with the basic solution then dried.- The last letter is for the experiment performed: K=Fracture toughness, F=Friction *** Fracture toughness ***Each .txt file contains:- Column 1: Time (s)- Column 2: Mode I stress intensity factor KI (MPa.m(1/2))- Column 3: Axial displacement (mm)- Column 4: Crack mouth opening (mm) *** Friction ***Each .txt file contains:- Column 1: Time (s)- Column 2: Shear stress (MPa)- Column 3: Normal stress (MPa)- Column 4: Shear displacement (mm) Additionally, for each experiment and both under dry and water saturated conditions, a .xlsx file contains the picked static shear stress at the onset of sliding for each tested normal stress as follows:- Column A: Normal stress (MPa)- Column B: Shear stress at onset of sliding (MPa)- Column C: Shear stress at onset of sliding lower boundary (MPa)- Column D: Shear stress at onset of sliding higher boundary (MPa)- Column E: Peak shear stress (MPa)- Column F: Peak shear stress lower boundary (MPa)- Column G: Peak shear stress higher boundary (MPa)
