We used bulk RNA sequencing to investigate the molecular signature of both phagocytic microglia and non-phagocytic microglia affected by deletion of Itgb8 in microglia. Dead neuron+/Fcrls+/CD11b+/Ly6C- and Dead neuron-/Fcrls+/CD11b+/Ly6C- microglia were isolated by Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) and analyzed using Smartseq2 RNAseq.
