In 2023, Brazil and Mexico were leading the healthtech startup sector in Latin America. That year, 40 percent of healthtech startups in the region were located in Brazil and 38 percent in Mexico. Chile, Argentina, and Colombia accounted for 20 percent of emerging healthtech companies. The sub-sector with the highest number of healthtech startups in the region was the treatment sector.
