Temporal dynamics of microbial communities in the water of polyculture pond system for Chinese swimming crab Portunus trituberculatus

The polyculture pond system was the typical culture model for the Chinese swimming crab Portunus trituberculatus in Shandong Province. However, there were few studies on microbial community variations in the polyculture pond systems during P. trituberculatus culture. In this study, aquatic water samples were collected monthly to reveal microbial community compositions, functions, and interactions in different habitats (pond and waterway) along with P. trituberculatus culture stages.
