资源简介:
All data set of manuscript ACCURACY OF A NEW INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING DISTANCES IN ASSESSMENT OF THE MODIFIED CLINICAL STAR EXCURSION BALANCE TESTAbstract Objective: Our study aimed to verify the accuracy and reliability of a new instrument for measuring distances in the modified Star Excursion Balance Test (mSEBT) in healthy subjects. Methods: This study is a cross-sectional observational, with 30 participants (60 lower limbs assessed). The main outcome was obtained using gold-standard 3D kinematic (VICON®), a new automated device called AutomaSEBT and an evaluator to measure the distance manually, as usual. Comparisons were made simultaneously between the three assessment methods during the mSEBT. The agreement analysis was carried out using Bland-Altman graphs and the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) to check the reliability between the methods, which was considered excellent when r>0.90, with a significance level of 5%. Results: There was no agreement between the methods tested (p0.05). However, excellent reliability was obtained between all methods for the anterior direction - HA configuration; posteromedial direction - LR configuration; and posterolateral direction - HS configuration (r>0.90). Conclusion: In summary, excellent reliability was found for the AutomaSEBT device and usual method when compared to the gold-standard during mSEBT in all directions evaluated, however, without agreement between all methods for most of the analyses. Impact: New perspectives for automating the assessment of mSEBT are created through the use of the AutomaSEBT, a reliable and low-cost device that facilitates and speeds up the process of assessing dynamic postural control.
