Acetophenone pathway, which produces piceol and pungenol, is important for insect resistance in white spruce trees Picea glauca. A probe set (Picea_hung_p1.0) is designed to target Bglu-1, Ugt5, and putative single-copy genes. We have compared their patterns of gene expression across different provenances.
