MOI001 - Moi - Basic vocabulary (Speaker: Luter Salamala)

This dataset contains elicited basic vocabulary from Moi with Luter Salamala (born 1969), a native speaker of Moi. The words cover the semantic domains of body parts, kin terms, pronouns, animals, cultural items, demonstratives, colours, numbers, qualities, plants, landscape, verbs, and content question words. The session was recorded on 7 February 2014, in Sorong city (Southwest Papua province, Indonesia). The recording of this session is split across two audio files, MOI001-01 and MOI002-02. This dataset relates to the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship 'Synchronic and diachronic investigations in Raja Ampat-South Halmahera, a little-known subbranch of Austronesian' (PF19\100004).
