Experimental data of a water-source heat pump with vapour injection

This open dataset contains the complete experimental measurements obtained from a laboratory water-to-water heat pump equipped with a vapor injection scroll compressor and economizer heat exchanger, using the low-GWP refrigerant R454C. The experimental campaign was carried out at the National Centre for Scientific Research Demokritos (NCSRD), Greece, with the objective of investigating the effect of compressor speed, heat source temperature, evaporator superheat, and economizer superheat on the thermodynamic performance and efficiency of the heat pump. The dataset consists of steady-state operating points acquired under controlled laboratory conditions. For each operating point, detailed measurements of the water circuits, refrigerant cycle, compressor operation, refrigerant mass flow rates, and performance indicators are provided. All measurements correspond to steady-state operation after thermal stabilization of the system. The data are suitable for scientific research, model validation, and reproducibility studies in the fields of refrigeration, heat pumps, and thermal energy systems.
