The Western Mediterranean Wetland Birds dataset was created by the Media Technology Research Group of La Salle University - Ramon Llull University. It contains 5795 audio clips of 20 endemic bird species from the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park, with a total duration of 201.6 minutes. All audio data was manually annotated to ensure its quality and accuracy. This dataset is primarily used for performance evaluation of deep learning models in bird sound classification tasks, especially in resource-constrained environments. The dataset aims to automate ecological tasks such as bird population composition analysis and endangered species detection.
