资源简介:
Aerial surveys in Prince William Sound to document spring herring spawning activity have been conducted since the early 1970’s. This zip file contains geospatial files, xml files, and a database collected during aerial surveys to measure the linear extent of Pacific herring milt in the Prince William Sound Area, Alaska, 1973-2021. Data were collected through regular aerial surveys at ~1,200 feet in the spring of each year, from mid-March until approximately mid-May. Two observers collect data directly into digital format and also on hardcopy paper format as backup. These data are collected alongside data on biomass, age, length and sex of herring samples, observation of sea birds, and observation of sea mammals, which are archived as separate datasets. Data includes geospatial files, xml files, and databases used to create the herring data portal hosted at: http://www.aoos.org/aoos-data-resources/.
