The data represents laboratory and field examination for the existence of microplastics in the body wall of the sea cucumber. The laboratory examination involves the exposure of sea cucumbers to microplastics fibers and the persistence of these microfibers in the body walls after the transfer to clean water. The field observation data represents microplastics amount, type, and shape isolated from the body wall of the sea cucumbers. Sea cucumbers were collected from a local market and farm and digested using nitric acid to isolate microplastics.
