Tali (Erythrophleum spp.), a valuable African timber species

Genetic tracing has been applied in wildlife forensic cases, but methodology to infer timber legality is still a matter of active research. we assessed the potential of polymorphisms in the plastid (chloroplast) genome for species identification and source inference for the case of Tali (Erythrophleum suaveolens and E. ivorense), a highly valuable timber from Africa.
