Whole genome shotgun (WGS) sequencing of Drosophila erecta. Drosophila erecta strain:TSC#14021-0224.01

The Drosophila erecta genome was sequenced to 10-fold coverage by Agencourt Bioscience Corporation. The Drosophila erecta whole genome shotgun (WGS) project has the project accession AAPQ00000000. This version of the project (01) has the accession number AAPQ01000000, and consists of sequences AAPQ01000001-AAPQ01007621. Multiple assemblies of the D. erecta genome have been made and a list can be found here. These alternate assemblies were combined and reconciled into the official (CAF1) assembly (AAPQ00000000). The assembly was annotated using several automated gene prediction programs, and the results were combined into a consensus GLEAN set (Drosophila 12 Genomes Consortium 2007).
