资源简介:
Bovine brucellosis and bovine tuberculosis are two zoonotic bacterial diseases that have a significant negative impact on both the beef and dairy cattle industries and pose a public health risk worldwide. Brucella abortus strain RB51 (RB51) is a highly effective vaccine for bovine brucellosis, and Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) is a candidate vaccine for bovine tuberculosis. This study evaluated the transcriptomic profile of monocyte-enriched PBMCs from representative beef and dairy breeds, Herefords and Holsteins respectively, infected in vitro with RB51 and/or BCG. Results have implications for further vaccine development for bovine brucellosis and tuberculosis and are relevant to producers, veterinarians, and researchers in the field of cattle management and animal health.
