Survey of Governments: Annual Employment Statistics, 1978

<p>These data were collected in 1978 by surveying the units included in the 1977 Census of Governments. A sample was drawn of various local governmental units including the governments of counties, municipalities, and school districts. Information is included on full- and part-time employment; full-time equivalent employment; and payroll statistics by type of government, and by function. The data also include statistics on labor-management relations, number of organized employees, number of bargaining units, number of contractual agreements, and number of employees covered by contractual agreements.</p>
<p><strong>Please Note</strong>: This dataset is part of the historical CISER Data Archive Collection and is also available at ICPSR at <a href="https://doi.org/10.3886/ICPSR08145.v1">https://doi.org/10.3886/ICPSR08145.v1</a>.
