16s rRNA gene sequencing data from healthy Japanese infants fecal collections.

We performed a cohort study of the influence of antibiotics taken immediately before delivery on intestinal flora in early infancy, with a focus on Bifidobacterium and Bacteroides, in 130 healthy Japanese infants. Fecal samples were collected from infants at 1, 3, and 6 months after birth, after mothers gave consent before birth in a hospital in Japan.
