Genome sequencing of Staphylococcus aureus deletion strains lacking the cytoskeletal protein MreC to identify potential suppressor mutations. Two mreC deletion mutants of strain SH1000 were compared to two revertants. One non-synonymous SNP was identified in each revertant strain, but these seem unlikely candidates for supressor mutations.
