The operation Directory of Economic Activities (DIRAE) collects information from all establishments and companies as units that carry out economic activities in the Basque Country; provides basic structural information on the different sectors of economic activity and serves as a reference framework for conducting sectoral censuses and surveys; it also allows the analysis of the population employed in the community establishments. It does not currently include the activities of households employing domestic staff and extraterritorial agencies.
