Dozens of maize mutants derived from the inbred line Jing724 were generated using EMS mutagenesis. Several mutants impeding maize growth and development were collected to perform BSR-seq analysis to identify the causal genes. The F2 or BC1 population was generated by crossing B73 (a maize inbred line) and each Jing724 mutant, and mutant plant pool and normal plant pool of each population were used for RNA-seq.
