Brown bear adipose cell cultures with serum treatments

We performed RNA sequencing on fat tissue cell culture samples from 6 individual bears from both the active and hibernation season. We also collected blood serum samples from both the active and hibernation season that were used to treat the cell cultures.Our goal was to determine whether or not seasonal changes in gene expression could be induced through serum treatments of cell cultures. This would allow for future studies of seasonal phenotypes in vitro.
