Menstrual history, pregnancy symptoms, vaginal bleeding, pelvic measurements, and number of prenatal visits for all pregnancies in the study; cases without prenatal care have only identifying numbers Study Description A prospective, longitudinal study of women, their pregnancies and deliveries, and the health and development of the children born from these pregnancies. Families who were members of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan in Oakland, California were enrolled between 1959 and 1966. Children born to the enrolled women were followed through 1972. Mothers provided information about fathers. Biospecimens are available, including father specimens. Please contact Dr. Barbara Cohn (bcohn@chdstudies.org) to obtain biospecimens. Additional data files from follow-up studies in the CHDS are available to researchers who would like to set up collaborations to access them. Please send an email to supportdash@mail.nih.gov for more information. Pregnant women and their children born during the study. There were a total of 15,538 women (20,754 pregnancies resulting in 18,751 live births). Ethnicity, Race, and Location are provided below are for Mothers only.
