Transcriptome analysis [RNA-seq] of pooled edwardsiella carnea samples. Edwardsiella carnea

Background: Four Edwardsiella carnea animals were collected by dredging on the Swedish West Coast. The anemones were kept in sea water and fed with cultured Artemia nauplii. Total RNA was extracted using VWR Omega-BioTek E.Z.N.A molluscan RNA isolation kit (catalog number R6875-00). Transcriptome sequencing was done at GENEWIZ center with Illumina Hiseq 2000 on two lanes (004 and 005) in paired-end manner. Life cycle of E. carnea is not well studied and therefore we compare it to E. lineata. E. lineata has well known life cycle involving a parasitic stage within comb jellies Mnemiopsis leidyi.
