The protective effect of Xuanbai Chengqi Decoction on lung and intestinal injuries caused by sepsis in combination with the analysis of lung and intestinal microbiota

Background: Sepsis is currently the leading cause of death in the ICU. The lungs and intestines are the most vulnerable target organs in sepsis, which is closely related to their physiological structure and tissue function. Xuanbai chengqi decoction plays an important role in the treatment of sepsis, but its mechanism of action to alleviate lung and intestinal injury is unclear.Conclusions: Xuanbai chengqi decoction had a protective effect on the lung and intestine and simultaneously regulated the dysbiosis of lung and intestinal microbiota, thus improving the systemic inflammatory response to sepsis.
