Area of application of the clearing regulations (need for authorisation).
Any voluntary operation leading directly or indirectly to the destruction of the wooded state of land and ending its forest destination is a clearing.
Any clearance requires prior authorisation from the administration.
Clearing of woods and forests below a threshold of 4 ha (threshold fixed by department and by decree of 11 May 2004) is exempt from this authorisation.
The method chosen does not take into account the zoning “wooded spaces classified” in the municipalities’ PLUs under the urban planning code where clearing is prohibited.
