Svinøy mooring array hydrography and current data

This dataset contains data from the moorings sited at the Svinøy-NW section in the sourthern Norwegian Sea. The variation of the warm Atlantic water inflow to the Arctic Mediterranean may have a great impact on the Arctic warming. The Norwegian Atlantic Current has been monitored by current meter moorings at the Svinøy sites since 1995. Svinøy S1 north and south, closer to the coast, are deployed yearly, while the Svinøy Deep moorings further along the transect line are deployed on irregular basis.
