Main channel instream barriers in the Murray-Darling Basin

This dataset was produced for the Murray Darling Basin Authority to assess the longitudinal connectivity of the Murray Darling Basin. Each point in the dataset represents a barrier in the network. It includes the the approximate location and updated attribute values, such as, crest height, fishway availability, weir pool length (when available) associated to each barrier. This datasets is aligned to Open Source Maps and it is provided as a '.csv' file with lat/long in ESPG 4326.\nNew information to complete updating these attribute is welcome.\nLineage: We intersected the barriers in the Murray-Darling Basin Weir Information System to the Murray Darling Basin Major River Centerline streams with 75% of time series data or more. \nThen, we identified each of the barriers from the subset using satellite imagery. We also snapped the barriers to the streamlines where it overlapped the image, and recorded the new coordinates. \nFinally, we updated the crest height and fishway availability for some barriers through a web-search, literature and data reviews. \nThe complete list of datasets and references used is included.
