Intestinal acetic acid mediate the expression of natural mating behavior in captive giant pandas

Although researchers have confirmed that giant pandas do have sex pheromones that can transmit reproductive information, it is not clear which sex pheromone components will affect the expression of natural mating behavior. In this study, we use fecal metagenomicsgas and chromatography-mass spectrometry to explore the effects of intestinal microbial community diversity and intestinal bacterial metabolites on the natural mating behavior of giant pandas.
