eDNA Metabarcoding of marine aquarium fishes for 12S, 16S, and COI

Data collected to explore eDNA metabarcoding as a tool under controlled conditions. Samples collected was from 3 L of water filtered from the Rainbow Reef tank at the Ripley's Aquarium of Canada in Toronto, Ontario in 2015. Sequence data includes primer sets for 12S (Miya et al 2015), 16S (Deagle et al 2009), and COI (Leray et al 2013). Additionally, control samples were sequenced for the Loop Line water system that connects between aquarium tanks, a DI Water field control, and a food control of DNA extracts from all feed samples introduced to the tank.
