Budburst and leafout phenology of 50 varieties of winegrapes (Vitis vinifera subsp. vinifera) in greenhouse with heat tolerance of flowering study

This research collected leafout and budburst phenology observations of 50 Vitis vinifera varieties in a greenhouse. These observations were compared to phenological observations from the previous growing season at the Robert Mondavi Instutute Vineayard. Ten varieties were also observed in a heat tolerance study in which plants were placed in growth chambers once they formed an inflorescence and were grown there until they finished flowering. Chambers were each set at a different temperature between 20 and 37 degrees Celsius.
