The dentate gyrus of the hippocampus is a brain region involved in learning, memory formation, and spatial coding. We performed single-cell RNA-sequencing of the dentate gyrus of young and old mice to identify the age-induced changes. Overall design: Mouse dentate gyri were microdissected and single cells were isolated via enzymatic dissociation. Viable cells were collected via fluorescence-activated cell sorting and subjected to 10x Genomics single-cell RNA-sequencing. Libraries were seqeucned with Illumina NovaSeq 6000 28x94 Flow Cell SP, paired-end.
