Conservation of Fleurieu Estuaries and Coastal Dunes

This Green Army project will implement the Southern Fleurieu Coastal Action Plan and Conservation Priority Study and the Hindmarsh and Inman Rivers Estuary Management Plans. The action plans outline conservation priorities and threats across the Fleurieu Peninsula coast. Priority actions will be addressed by the Green Army through raising community capacity to conserve the natural estuary and coastal heritage, monitoring the vulnerable Hooded Plover, continuing restoration programs to improve habitat for various fauna species and to control red alert weeds with a focus on highest priority areas. These areas are located within areas of Goolwa to Cape Jervis and align with the areas of Ngarrindjeri Country.
