Our study demonstrated the fluctuation of flavonoid biosynthesis in the two pomelo cultivars and laid a theoretical foundation for pomelo breeding to generate fruits with high flavonoid content. Overall design: De novo transcriptome sequencing was performed on ripe fruits of two pomelo cultivars, each cultivar contained 3 biological repeats.
