Optimization of Germ-free Mouse Humanization

The role of gut microbiota is increasingly being recognized in the etiology of numerous diseases, thus the establishment of an efficacious and durable method for gut microbiota humanization of germ-free mice would aid in the demonstration of causality and investigation of underlying mechanisms. Here we assessed the impact of the number and frequency of gavages, as well as diet, on the colonization of human fecal microbiota in germ-free mice.
