Genome sequences of Heyndrickxia (basonym Bacillus) sporothermodurans strains and closely related species (H. vini, H. oleronia)

Heyndrickxia (basonym Bacillus) spp. can survive food preservation (heat inactivation) through the formation of extremely environmental resistant endospores. Even a low level of contamination can affect large quantities of food products (diary) and special preventative measures must be taken rapidly. In the research project "NextMilQ", various Heyndrickxia sporothermodurans (and other spp.) were sequenced to clarify the genomic relationship.
