Microarray of total lung cells from young and aged female mice

Very little is known about the effects of aging on tissues such as the lung, and the resulting effects of immune cells within the tissue. We performed a microarray on total cells from young and aged mice to determine signaling pathways that are altered with aging. Total cells from left lung lobe from 3 young (2-3 months old) and 3 aged (20-22 months old) female C57BL/6 mice were snap frozen, and RNA was extracted using Trizol and used for microarray analysis
