Assembled file of spring annual averages of abundance of five species of cool regime salps from the Southern California region, 1951 - 2011.

Derived dataset of spring annual averages of cool regime salps since 1951 (ongoing - original from zooplankton dataspace), where both pooled and unpooled samples are documented. Five species of salps (Cyclosalpa affinis, Cyclosalpa bakeri, Pegea socia, Salpa maxima) are collected in net tows and enumerated from spring CalCOFI cruises (lines 80-93, inclusive of stations from shore out to station 70).
