Change in economic indicators in the Nordics before/after COVID-19 2019-2020

The Scandinavian economies Denmark, Sweden, and Norway experienced recessions due to the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19). When compared to the last quarter of 2019, the Danish gross domestic product (GDP) declined by 8.3 percent in the second half of 2020. In Norway, private consumption decreased by 14.6 percent during that same period, while Sweden's exports dropped by 15 percent.
