Datasets for paper

This collection includes datasets used for the analysis and figures presented in the paper titled "Template Switching as a Driver of Promoter Evolution in Yeast: Case Study of the GRE2 Gene". The datasets provided are as follows:
· Tables of prescreening events as well as published tables: Tables detailing the prescreened events
· Multiple sequence alignment of Upstream Regions of Genes: Alignments are provided for each gene region across all strains available for the respective locus.
· EMBOSS palindrome analysis: The analysis includes arms of 7 bp and spacers of 70 bp. Only events of 10 bp or larger are considered in the paper.
· Phylogenetic tree: A consensus tree reconstructed using IQ-TREE2 with the GTR+G substitution model and 1000 fast bootstraps. The tree is based on 4878 coding sequences (CDS) from the genes used in this study across 1051 strains.
· GLOOME analysis: Results of GLOOME analysis.
