Leading motivations of Malaysian tourists to visit Japan 2023

According to a survey conducted in the departure lobbies of Japanese airports and seaports throughout 2023, for nearly 88 percent of tourists from Malaysia eating Japanese food was one of the motivations to come to Japan. Japanese cuisine was followed in popularity by nature and scenery sightseeing as well as shopping.
