Populus tremula x Populus tremuloides EST project. Populus tremula x Populus tremuloides

Large scale ESTs have been generated from different tissues of Populus tremula x Populus tremuloides. cDNA libraries constructed from the wood-forming tissues of Populus tremula x Populus tremuloides and Populus trichocarpa have been used to study genes involved in wood formation. cDNA libraries prepared from leaves of Populus tremula x Populus tremuloides and Populus tremula to study the process of leaf senescence.
